These terms govern your use of EMC Directory (emcdirectory.co.uk), operated by Grindstone Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

1. What this site is

EMC Directory is a directory of UK electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing laboratories and compliance service providers. It's an informational resource to help buyers find and evaluate EMC test partners, and to help those providers be found. We are not a party to, and take no responsibility for, any agreement, quote, order or contract made between a buyer and a listed company.

2. Accuracy of listings

We build and maintain listings using information from each company's own public materials and, where available, official public records such as Companies House. We make reasonable efforts to keep listings accurate and up to date (each listing shows a "Last Updated" date), but we cannot guarantee that every detail is current or error-free — company circumstances change, and mistakes can occur. Always verify accreditations, capabilities and trading status directly with a company before relying on it for a business decision.

3. Submitting or claiming a listing

If you submit a new listing or manage an existing one via Business Login, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you're authorised to provide it on behalf of the company concerned. We reserve the right to edit, decline, suspend or remove any listing at our discretion — including where information can't be verified, where a company is no longer trading, or where content breaches these terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use this site to: scrape or bulk-extract data for a competing service; submit false, misleading or defamatory information; attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site; or otherwise interfere with the site's normal operation.

5. Third-party links

Listings link out to companies' own websites, and some listing pages may display a company's own recent blog/news content. These are third-party sites we don't control and aren't responsible for. Visiting them is at your own risk and subject to their own terms and privacy practices.

6. Intellectual property

The design, compilation and original written content of this directory belong to Grindstone Ltd. Individual company names, logos and trademarks shown on listings remain the property of their respective owners.

7. Liability

This site is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or reliance on its content, including losses arising from inaccurate or outdated listing information. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
