AQL EMC traces its UKAS accreditation (number 0018) back to 1982, making it one of the longest continuously accredited EMC test laboratories in the UK; the company itself was formed in 1988 out of an EMC department with roots in MOD ship and submarine testing dating to the 1960s. Based in Wimborne, it holds accreditation across major military standards including MIL-STD-461, DEF STAN 59-411 and RTCA DO-160, testing either in its own laboratory or at customers' premises. AQL EMC became part of the Eurofins Scientific group in June 2023.
